Gonçalo Inácio opened the scoring after three minutes and Luis Suárez added a second in the 17th. Debast’s dismissal in the 54th changed the conditions of the contest: Fontán converted a penalty in the 81st before Nandín equalised in the 87th.

TBO SPORT analysis: Two phases of the same match

The 2-2 draw calls for separating the creation of the lead from management of the closing stages with ten players. A numerical disadvantage changes the spaces each player must cover, but does not explain every decision on its own. The scoring sequence shows how a favourable position can lose its stability late in a game.

The green and white associated with the Alvalade evening also feature in the store’s Sporting CP shirt.
