Fulham 2026/27: the red-and-black checkerboard returns

Fulham unveiled its adidas away shirt on 3 August. The design revisits the mid-1990s checkerboard and the historic FFC emblem.

A closer look at the design

In the photo, red blocks have uneven edges against the black. The white collar, cuffs, shoulder stripes and symbols introduce a clearly visible third colour. The Trefoil and FFC monogram sit apart from the central sponsor.

The reinterpretation retains the appearance of a board without using a rigid grid. White brings order to the high-contrast surface and draws attention to the collar and chest.
